Welcome at the Familie Kleintjens; Haus Casimir
We were born and bred in the Netherlands. Ramon hails from South Limburg, while I’m from Brabant.
We’d often talk about going to Austria, but it never really came to anything. Then, in February 2021, we looked at each other and said, “Why not, after all?” In May, we booked a week in an apartment in Reith im Alpbachtal and made the decision. We didn’t waste any time—by that summer, we’d put our house up for sale, quit our jobs, and moved to Reith im Alpbachtal after Christmas.
Haus Casimir was then still a dream.
After much patience and continued searching, we found this dream spot. In summer 2025, we started construction, and by May 2026, we were able to move into Haus Casimir.
We’ve now found our place in Reith im Alpbachtal and we feel right at home here. Every day, we enjoy the mountain views, the skiing, hiking and cycling opportunities.
It’s still a wonderful adventure we’re living!
Haus Casimir
The name Casimir is a nod to our son Cas. He was six years old when we moved from the Netherlands to Austria. Fortunately, he’s always up for an adventure, so the emigration was full of anticipation and excitement!

Our house is situated in Reith im Alpbachtal, a picturesque village in the heart of Tirol. The region is renowned for its unspoilt nature, traditional architecture, and diverse recreational opportunities, both in summer and winter.
